Abilities United supports children and adults with disabilities, their families and the community, and champions a culture in which all members of society are included and appreciated for their distinctive contributions.
Our participants enjoy and benefit greatly from one-to-one or small group interaction. Volunteers share in the activities; they are always in the presence of a qualified staff person.
Work with instructors and adult participants in various settings. Enjoy going on walks, tutoring, helping in the garden or cooking in the kitchen.
Traits: Patient, humorous, caring individuals would contribute greatly to enhancing an atmosphere that is compassionate, attentive and upbeat.
We are looking for someone who can commit to at least 3 months, 3 hours per day, 1 day per week, preferably on a set schedule.
