Each fall, Canopy invites community members to join their dynamic team of volunteer Planting Leaders, who help lead tree planting and tree care events throughout the community. No prior experience or knowledge is required; all skill levels are welcome!

Part One includes an introduction to urban trees, proper tree-planting techniques, and best practices in young tree care. Part Two allows participants to put their new skills to work planting young trees in a local school, park, or neighborhood.

In exchange for this free workshop, we ask that trainees volunteer for at least two Canopy planting and tree care events during our planting season, October 2017 through April 2018.
