Boys Hope Girls Hope of Arizona provides 24/7 residential care for disadvantaged, yet motivated, youth in the Central Phoenix area. Each of our 2 group homes house up to 8 scholars at a time and are staffed with full-time, live-in houseparents.
BHGH dinner hosts volunteer to provide a meal for the scholars living in either our boys home or our girls home, and by doing so, provide a wonderful service to our houseparents by allowing them a night off from cooking for a houseful of hungry teenagers. Our scholars really look forward to dinner hosts as well because they enjoy the opportunity to learn about the lives and experiences of the community members who volunteer to bring dinner.
Hosting dinner is very easy -
You provide a complete meal for up to 10 people, which you can prepare at the house or bring with you, enjoy an hour or so of conversation with our scholars, and then get to leave before clean up! Family members and friends are welcome as well.
