Summary: Looking to make a difference by helping to create an impactful and super fun event that serves the disability community?
The Event: is called TheMomentum Expo. Momentum is the CIL's transportation and mobility event that seeks to encourage and empower people with disabilities and their families to get out, get moving and actively explore opportunities in their community. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of community transportation resources, view cutting edge adaptive technology and mobility aids, demo the latest mobility apps and gadgets, watch product review videos of the latest technology, listen to speakers demo their products in interactive classroom-style seminars, connect with education and career development institutions and get active with adaptive sports. We're looking for volunteers for the months leading up to the event
Our Mission: The Center for Independent Living (The CIL) provides advocacy and services that increase awareness, collaboration, and opportunity among people with disabilities and the community at large. Our programs provides people with skills, knowledge, and resources that empower them to eliminate damaging and stereotypical notions of disability so that they are able to strive toward realizing their full human potential.
We need your help to accomplish that mission. We're looking for Volunteers for admin/support for our upcoming Momentum (Transportation and Mobility) Expo.
• Data entry
• Assisting with Volunteer Management
o Orientation and onboarding
o Training and curriculum development
• Creating and designing informational and
• Creating and maintaining databases and
• Corresponding with CIL event Partners
• Assisting with event coordination and logistics
• Post-Expo/event followup
• General admin support as needed
