Our Mission:
Livable City works to create a San Francisco of great streets and complete neighborhoods, where walking, bicycling, and transit are the best choices for most trips, where public spaces are beautiful, well-designed, and well-maintained, and where housing is more plentiful and more affordable.
Livable City is the non-profit organization responsible for the day to day management of the San Francisco Sunday Streets program.
About:
Sunday Streets is a series of events put on in partnership with the City of San Francisco to encourage health, community and fun. A Sunday Streets event creates a large, temporary, public space by closing off stretches of a neighborhood's streets to automobile traffic, and opening them to pedestrians, bicyclists, and activities for several hours on a predetermined Sunday. Sunday Streets is free for all to enjoy.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of Sunday Streets. We couldn't do it without you!
