Stanford Blood Center
"At Stanford Blood Center, we provide hope for the future: teaching tomorrow's leaders in transfusion medicine, researching to unlock mysteries inherent in blood, and connecting donors to patients every day"
SBC was created in 1978 to meet the increasingly large and complex transfusion needs of Stanford Hospital. Today we provide blood to Stanford and Packard hospitals, El Camino Hospital, O'Connor Hospital and the Palo Alto VA. Volunteers may choose from positions at our donor centers or at blood drives located throughout the bay area at companies, schools and community organizations. Hours are flexible with day, evening and weekend opportunities.
